AnyPlay: Privacy Policy

AnyPlay ("the app") is a video player. This policy explains what data the app accesses and what it does with it.

Summary

Your videos, files and playback history stay on your device. The app has no accounts. It shows ads served by Google AdMob, which collects some device data as described below. The app uses Google Firebase Remote Config to adjust how often ads appear, and Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app usage and ad performance (only after you accept the consent prompt where one is required).

Data the app accesses on your device

• Videos on your device. With your permission (Photos and videos / Storage), the app reads your device's media library to list and play your videos. This happens entirely on your device. Files are never uploaded.
• Files you open. Files you pick, or open from other apps, are read only to play them.
• Playback history and settings. The app stores your recently played items, resume positions and preferences locally on your device. You can clear the history at any time in Settings. Android may include your settings in your personal device backup.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads from Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

• your device's advertising ID, plus other device and app identifiers
• your IP address and the approximate location derived from it
• information about ad interactions (impressions, clicks) and basic device information (model, OS version, language)
• crash and performance data from the ads SDK

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Security & privacy → Ads).

Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Remote configuration (Google Firebase)

The app downloads settings (such as how often ads may appear) from Google Firebase Remote Config. To do so, Firebase uses a per-installation identifier and basic device information. It is not used for advertising.

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

With your consent where it is required (EEA, UK and Switzerland), the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure how the app and its ads perform. It collects app-usage events, ad impression and revenue events, an app-instance identifier and basic device information (model, OS version, language, approximate location from IP address). Where consent is required, nothing is collected until you accept.

Network access

Apart from the ads and remote configuration above, the app connects to the internet only to play network streams or files at addresses that you enter or open. Those requests go directly from your device to the server you chose. That server's own privacy policy applies to it. The developer receives no personal data from the app.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
